Yocco's Hotdogs, Allentown, Pennsylvania

* Yelpers report this location has closed.

They still have 6 other locations in the area!

This is Yocco's original 1922 location. There is a small parking lot across the street from their corner shop. You order first @ the counter and find a seat @ one of the tables. Then they will bring your order to you. Yocco's hotdogs (Hatfield Meats) are grilled and the buns are steamed. My two had everything; Yocco's homemade chili sauce, chopped onions and tangy mustard. The mustard, onions and chili are put in the bun first and then topped with the dog. My dogs were excellent! This Yocco's also sells beer to go and they sell a lot of it. Yocco's was founded by Theodore Iacocca, the uncle of Lee Iacocca (former Chrysler CEO). Yocco's is named for the Iacocca family who still run it today but, because the local Pennsylvania Dutch could not pronounce Iacocca, and said Yocco instead, the name stuck. Yocco's is a great blue collar hotdog shop that's definitely worth a visit. Enjoy this local legend.
