The war for the Little Brown Jug began in 1892 and the battle for the trophy continues again each year with Michigan & Minnesota renewing their gridiron rivalry. Michigan leads the series 72-24-3. The Brown Jug (restaurant/bar) has been a U of Michigan tradition since 1938. The Brown Jug, which is of course named after the trophy, is located on the U of Michigan campus @ South University & State St. The Brown Jug is a favorite den for Wolverine students, faculty, fans, staff and locals. Student favorites include Jug burgers and Rubens. My Jug burger (1/2 lb. Prime Angus) with raw onion, mayo, ketchup, mustard and pickle spear with steak fries and a Coke were all very good. Enjoy!
