My knowledge of See's Candies (1921) came from seeing their chocolate boxes occasionally featured on "The Price is Right ®"(Bob Barker) and hearing Johnny Olsen give his brief on air description of them. Growing up in the 1970's the internet didn't exist so, a black and white television was my only window into the West Coast World of chocolate. So, seeing my first See's Candy Store in Tucson was quite a nice surprise. But, maybe not such a nice surprise for the two lanes of oncoming traffic I cut in in front of to make the U turn for the See's parking lot. A rental car with out of state plates in a city where no one knows you can be a real joy. Free samples always help in the decision making process for any chocolate purchase. My free sample of their California Brittle (Great!) ended up in a 1/2 lb. box for the road. Enjoy!
