Que es dogos estilo sonora? (What is a Sonoran Hot Dog?) The answer I got was; that it's a hot dog that originated in Mexico that quickly became a huge favorite in Tucson (A city in the middle of the Sonoran Desert), Phoenix and all of Arizona. It's more than just a regular desert hotdog though; it's a grilled, (charred) bacon-wrapped beef hotdog, that's topped with pinto beans, freshly chopped tomatoes, onions, jalapenos, mustard, mayo and a grilled yellow chili pepper (guero) all nestled in a split-top bolillo roll (golden brown crunchy crust outside and soft pillowed inside) prepared by a master chef. My Sonoran dog was outstanding! Just minus the peppers. The drinks (Mexican Cokes) are in a cooler covered in ice. They only accept cash. Enjoy!
