Proper Pie Co. is located in Richmond's Church Hill Neighborhood (Richmond's Oldest). Church Hill is so named for St. John's Episcopal Church (1741). At this Historic church, on the hill, on March of 1775 Patrick Henry gave his "Give me liberty or give me death" speech. This speech gave the American Revolution it's voice. Slice of history, now slice of pie. With Covid-19 and a smaller staff, they don't take phone orders or walkup orders. Right now they are only accepting online orders. Online orders go live @ 10:00 am. Before you order, check the Proper Pie Facebook page to see what is available to order on that day. Their menu is ever changing! You can order and pay online @ https://www.properpieco.com Proper Pie Co. of course makes sweet pies (slice/whole). I got 2 slices of their Amazing! French Apple pie (apples, rum-soaked raisins and topped with a brown sugar streusel). They also make savory New Zealand Style pies as well. Like Steak & Guinness, Chicken Brunswick, Thai Butternut Curry and Pork Chile Rojo to name a few. After 12:00 noon on the day of your order, drive to Proper Pie Co. and pickup your pie @ the window.
