A few years ago, I was in Meridian, Mississippi to see my photo (Yes, My Photo!) of Borroum’s Drug Store proudly hanging in The Mississippi Museum of Arts & Entertainment. The next day I headed due south (from Meridian) to check out a new route home. I stopped for gas in Laurel, Mississippi and happened upon Phillip’s Drive-In (great name). You order & pay @ the left window and they give you a number and call it out when your order is ready. With temps near 100° I was more thirsty than hungry so I had a vanilla shake, and it was great! Having cooled off a little my hunger began to come back. So, I went back and got a Coke® and a very good regular burger with onions, mustard, ketchup and pickles. Enjoy!
