In 1946, Maple Donuts opened their first store in York, PA on Maple St., hence the name Maple Donuts. Maple Donuts is a local York chain with five retail shops. Their donuts are also sold nationally. The donuts, glazes, fillings and icing are all made fresh daily on the premises. I had a lemon filled, a maple and a few glazed donut holes. All were excellent! The maple glazed is the most popular followed by the apple fritter. Their seasonal flavors are: strawberry, apple, cherry and blueberry. Their staff is very friendly and they make you feel right at home. The East Market location is the only shop that's open 24/7. Stop by and grab a dozen of your favorites with some of their world famous coffee or cold milk and eat some happy. Enjoy!
