On U.S. 1 & Virginia Route 460 in Petersburg you will find Little Pig BBQ. Established in 1932, this family owned and operated Q stand was the first drive-in in the Petersburg area. Little Pig uses only Boston Butts. The pork is cooked for eight hours in an electric cooker. The tea is brewed fresh daily. The sweet homemade slaw consists of white cabbage with carrots and pickles. The sauce for the slaw has a mustard & vinegar base. The coleslaw is excellent! The barbecue sauce is homemade daily and it has a mustard base. The Q here is all chopped. My chopped q sandwich topped with slaw and sauce was excellent. Little Pig is only open on Thursday, Friday & Saturday.
