We were headed to Parson's Dairy Crème for lunch but finding this seasonally open place not yet open we decided to check out the main part of town. We spotted Jerry's Pit Bar-B-Q and had to stop. Jerry's pit-cooks their Boston Butts and whole shoulders over hickory coals. It was after 10:00am when we pulled into their gravel lot and even though it was early and raining, a line was already starting to form. You place and pick-up your order at the front window. We chose to eat in our car, but they do have a dining area inside to the left of the pick-up window. I had an excellent pulled pork sandwich topped with slaw and medium sauce with a side of beans. The home-made beans and slaw were both very good. The slaw consisted of green and white cabbage with carrot cubes. Jerry's is closed on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. They are open Wednesday thru Friday from 10:00am- 7:00pm and from 9:00am-3:00pm on Saturday. Even though they post regular hours they are open until they sell out. Enjoy!
