Simply put, this small Shockoe Bottom bar has great service, the best staff in Richmond and one insanely wicked burger! My amazing ¼lb. burger was perfectly charred and cooked to some pink in the middle. I topped it with Mozzarella, lettuce, tomato, onions, pickle, mustard and some side ketchup with a Coke. With a re-fill and a quick check, Honey Whyte's (2003) is easily one of Richmond's best burger spots. Their adjacent parking lot is also a nice plus. Enjoy!
Another thought: Have you ever tried Three Little Pigs in Daleville, VA, near Roanoke? Great barbecue, nice place, but no vintage feel. Worth a look, though.
With a name like Honey Whyte's, it's got to be something wonderful. I also think the old building looks great. From your description, I'd almost make a special trip to Richmond to try the burger!
