I never saw a sign for Lesage, West Virginia so we kept driving until we passed by what looked like a roadside yard sale with a shack and a school bus for a main building. After turning around and coming back, the writing on the boat a' top the school bus proved we had come to the right place. After some searching, I found what I thought might be the front door. Luckily, a patron came out and my suspicions of the door's location were confirmed. Usually the line extends out the door, but on the day we visited the pouring rain kept the line inside and short. The rain was so bad that it forced me to come back by a week later to take the photos. At the counter, we were greeted with a "Howdy!" And "where are you from?" After you order, find a seat and they will call out your name when it's ready. We waited and ate in one of the old school buses with the rain hitting the metal roof. I got two dogs with mustard, onions and chili-sauce with a side of beer battered onion rings. The dogs are all beef and the buns are steamed. You can have your dogs grilled, steamed or deep fried. Both of my grilled dogs were excellent! My onion rings were equally superb. The Lesage location is the original and come this September they will have been in business 12 years. If you ring the bell or give them a tip you will get to hear the "Weenie Song." Enjoy!
