The Frost Diner, built by the Jerry O' Mahoney Company in 1955, is one of Virginia's best. At the Frost you are totally surrounded by glorious stainless-steel. Inside, you will find recessed lighting on the ceiling, a large Formica-topped counter stretching the length of the diner, small booths on the window side, maroon leatherette swivel stools and music selectors @ each booth. Pancakes, Virginia ham, country fries, toast, sausage and eggs anyway you want them constantly fly on and off the grill. I had a huge plate of silver dollar pancakes, sausage, eggs and home-fries. All of which tasted heavenly. The super fast cook and plenty of butter keeps the Frost's grill humming and the incredible comfort food coming. You will come into the Frost Diner as a stranger, but you will leave as a friend. Cash is king here because they don't take credit cards.
