Carlson's (since 1947) is a real drive-in, complete with carhops and window trays. Popular favorites include the chili cheese dog, fried cauliflower, crème soda and their acclaimed, made-on-site, made-fresh-daily, root beer that is served in a tall, cold-frosted, heavy glass mug. I had a terrific chilidog (Eckrich all-beef bun-length hotdogs) topped with chili, mustard, onions and a slawdog followed by 3 mugs of their great root beer. In season, Carlson's Drive-In is open 7 days a week from 10am-8:00pm. @ Carlson's cash is king and they don't accept credit cards. Enjoy!
