Off Broad Street, Richmond's main thoroughfare, B&N is less than a mile from I-64 and I-95, The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts (one of the best in the country) and historic Monument Avenue. It's less than Three miles form Hollywood Cemetery (the final resting place of three presidents), The State Capitol building (designed by Thomas Jefferson), the American Civil War Museum and the White House of the Confederacy. And it's four miles from St. John's Church (where Patrick Henry gave his "Give me Liberty or give me Death speech"). So, needless to say, Buz & Ned's is centrally located to everything the city has to offer when hunger strikes. Stand in line, order and pay at the register (they do take VISA) and they will call out your name when your order is ready. On the Saturday we were there they were packed inside and out. We got the inside table across from the drink dispenser. It's a tight squeeze inside but its definitely worth it and any wait. Buz and Ned's cooks their Boston Butts and whole hogs (sometimes) out back and they are smoked with 100% hickory wood. My small already sauced pulled-pork was superb, the slaw was very good, and the baked beans were outstanding as was the sweet tea with lemon. Enjoy the history rich city of Richmond!
