Opened in 1971, Ann’s is an 8 stool wait your turn or get thrown out place. I got there before the lunch rush so, with only one other stool taken, getting a seat was not a problem. Ann must have liked me because she was very nice to me and showing up early probably helped too. The burgers are hand-formed, made-to-order and cooked-to-order and Ann does it all right in front of you. My “Ghetto Burger” paired with a Coke, was a beautiful mess of superb flavor. They give you a knife and fork so you don’t have to ask for it. Someone asked Ann “Why do you call it a Ghetto burger?” and Ann said “because you are in the ghetto”. “Miss Ann”, the owner and operator, is looking to retire so get here quick before this Atlanta legend is gone.
