Unlike the northern states of New York and Pennsylvania, Virginia doesn't have a large number of great diners, but of the few we do have the Amherst is one of our best. The Amherst is not covered in stainless steel and its not open 24hours. But, you can get breakfast @ anytime of the day and they serve a great cheeseburger and fries.
