Unlike the chains, Mr. Waffle is always open and they serve breakfast around the clock. In addition to breakfast they offer a large and varied lunch and dinner menu. You can get their famous fresh-off-the-griddle waffles with one egg or two, with bacon, sausage, ham, corned beef, livermush, pecans, blueberries, strawberries and even ice cream. Or you can have an omelet with Texas Toast, grits and hash browns. For lunch and dinner your choices range from soup and salad to steaks, pork chops, hotdogs, burgers, grilled chicken breast, a wide array of sandwiches, melts, wings and fried macaroni. With the exception of the livermush, everything on the menu looked very tasty. My craving at the time though was for breakfast so I went with the waffles, two eggs and sausage. Everything was excellent and my waitress was very nice and friendly. This freestanding Mr. Waffle has been in Gaffney since 1975. It is one of only three remaining in the Gaffney area. The other two are the restaurant half of truck stops. For excellent food, service, hours, location, menu and price there is only one choice, Mr. Waffle. Enjoy!
