If you are driving on route 220 south, take the third exit for Rocky Mount, Virginia. When you come off the ramp to the stop sign turn right. Do not turn left! Turning left is not advisable. That particular road, Doe Run, is a high crime area. So, for your safety don’t turn left. After you turn right, about a mile or so, maybe less, you will see a small convenience store on your right. This is Raven’s. This tiny store makes some outstanding hot dogs. Their kitchen is right behind the front counter. Raven’s steams their dogs and buns. The hotdogs are the familiar nuclear red ones. My two dogs were topped with chili, mustard, onions and mayonnaise. My dogs were excellent!!! I still think, the mayonnaise, as a topping is a Franklin County, Virginia thing.
