You enter into a dimly lit main dinning room. The Blues are playing in the background. I took a booth at the back wall.
I ordered a pulled pork BBQ platter, with slaw and BBQ baked beans. The pitcher of sweet tea was already on its way. This
Neely`s has been in Memphis since 1988. Patrick Neely oversees this location. Jim Neely is Patrick’s uncle. Jim neely
is a BBQ icon in Memphis. Before my Q arrived, I had already emptied half of the pitcher of tea. The sweet tea here is truly
incredible. I could replace my dessert with this tea. I can honestly say that this is the best sweet tea with lemon that I
have ever had. Then my Q platter arrived. It came on an old school cafeteria plate with the three molded sections. My Q was
incredible. Neely`s slow cooks their meat over hickory wood. My Q was tender, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. And when
you add their sweet rich sauce to the Q, it becomes legendary. My slaw was superb, nice and sweet. And the BBQ baked beans
were heavenly.
