From the carhops to the light up menus with their swivel over-window trays at each slot to the original working Servus-Fone order speakers, the 21 South Drive In is the real thing. 21 South is a family owned and operated drive-in. Its been a Charlotte landmark since 1955. I ordered their famous "Super Boy" Jumbo cheeseburger and onion rings. My Super Boy burger came with mustard, onions, lettuce, tomatoes, two beef patties with cheese and a pickle stabbed on the top of the sesame seed bun. My freshly cooked Super Boy burger was excellent! And the big sweet fried onion rings were superb.
